Points, levels, and stars
Typing test leaderboards are ranked by speed. Points and levels reward steady practice. Here's everything in one place.
Levels
Your level shows how much you've practiced, not how fast you type. Speed is what the test and leaderboard measure. That's why everyone starts as a Rookie, even if they already type fast.

How to earn points
For every session
1 point for every 10 characters typed correctly. Accuracy multiplies your points:
- 98% accuracy or higher1.5x
- 95% to 98%1.25x
- 90% to 95%1x
- under 90%half
Bonuses
- passing a lesson for the first time+20
- every new star+10
- hitting your daily goal+25
- typing test+10
- correct answer to a text question+15
You can earn up to 3,000 points a day, so nobody can game the Most Dedicated leaderboard.
Course stars
- 1 star: at least 95% accuracy, and the lesson is passed.
- 2 stars: you also hit the lesson's target speed.
- 3 stars: 98% accuracy and a third faster than the target.
Daily streak
The flame in the header shows how many days in a row you've practiced. One session a day is all it takes. Miss a day and your streak starts over, but we always remember your longest one.
